What Dog Breed Is Right for Me?The dog breed quiz that compares all breeds
Answer 8 quick questions about your home, your routine, your experience and your family. We compare your answers with our breed data and show you the breeds that fit your everyday life best, along with the reasons why.
How the Dog Breed Quiz Works
Every breed in our database is scored on exercise needs, trainability, how it does with kids, grooming and more. The quiz compares those scores with your answers and weights them: allergies, time alone and exercise count more than grooming.
Answer honestlyPlan around the life you actually live, not the one you wish you had. A bored, under-exercised dog is no fun for anyone in the long run.
A starting point, not a verdictEvery dog is an individual. Spend time with dogs of a breed in person before you decide.
Don't rule out mixed breedsA shelter or rescue dog whose personality is already known can be just as good a fit as any breed on the list.
